Brutal Killing Of Wolves In Alaska
When Sarah Palin burst onto the political scene last year I was not impressed with this woman at all. She was not intelligent at all (as seen in the Couric interview) and she really had nothing to offer this country. I, personally was happy to see her fly back to Alaska to finish out her term.
Of course now that Defenders Action Fund has released the following video with Ashley Judd revealing the aerial slaughter of animals in Alaska I am appalled that Alaska even wanted her back in the state.
For full disclosure, I have hunted in the past. I started with a rifle and then moved to a bow, my success rate was never that good and I have not been in a long time. I wanted to feed my family and have the sense of being one with the land. I never took a trophy or a animal out of season, plus I always used the meat completely.
I do understand an ecosystem can really only carry so many of a species before another species starts to be on the negative end of the overpopulation. Plus I understand that the wolves in Alaska only have man to fear and they probably do need thinned out for the sake of the hooved animals they prey upon. But an aerial slaughter is not hunting but a brital senseless killing of a beautiful animal. Plus you know the ones doing the killing are those who have plenty of money and simply want this trophy to add to a colletion that is purely egotistical.
Go to the Eye On Palin website and donate and stay up on the news. Though this initial issue is on the aerial killing of wolves, Palin is also for mass killing of other species, large scale logging, and even oil drilling in sensitive areas. Let Alaska & Palin know that this kind of behavior went out of style at the turn of the centrury and it will not be tolereated.

The wolf is such a beautiful animal that I cannot imagine shooting one from the window of an airplane.

Wolves are such beautiful animals and this is a tragedy not only for the state of Alaska but the US as a whole.

This is a tragedy. These animals are so beautiful and should be hunted fairly online to keep their numbers down.

Palin is not known for her environmental ways. The state of Alaska is actually divided on the subject there are those who want to take care of what they have and those who want to sell it.

Wolves are so beautiful it is a shame that they are so hunted especially when they are not hurting people at all in such a remote place.

Thanks - As a beginner to photography I often feel awed by the amount I still need to learn about photography. Still, the more i read, the better off i am. Thanks for making me think a bit more.

Slaughtering of any animal is inhumane

Well you don’t have to worry about this much longer because Palin is on her way out.

Sigh…. once again… it’s brutal killing blah blah blah but if the wolves need to be thinned then “fairness” doesn’t enter the equation. In situations like this decisions CAN’T be made emotionally!

Yes - it is sad, but there are so many more much more important issues to be dealt with first!

I love hunting just like you do. Never was a serious hunter. Was taught by my dad and it just stuck with me through the years. I don’t believe in killing animals just to kill them. I have ate or given away the meat to poor family’s that I have hunted. This is a total disgrace and people will pay and should be ashamed of themselves. Great blog!

What’s happening in Alaska is a big problem, not to mention the involvement of Sarah Palin, which is a problem unto itself. Hopefully things will get better.
