Blog Bandwagon

Though I am not one of the ones wanting the government to control our health care insurance since they cannot even manage themselves correctly, I will say something needs to be done.

My spouse and I have Arkansas Blue Cross at this time since that is what his company offers. Of course it recently went up $100 a month and it is useless anyway.

My daughter came down with strep throat in college and a simple visit to a urgent care clinic was billed at $560. Yep, you read that right! $560 to see a doc for less than 10 minutes and get a strep culture and prescription (which cost seperate to get filled). Somone needs to look at what doctors charge!

But to make matters worse she went to that facility since it was on the list of providers we received from Arkansas Blue Cross. Yet when the bill comes they will not pay it. The lame excuse is that it was billed to them as outpatient as opposed to urgent care. Who cares! If we are insured, why aren’t you paying it!

Long story short if you can avoid this misleading insurace company, do so! The service is terrible, the costs too expensive, and the insurance is useless even when you use their list of providers!

Last night was a long nail biting night for all of us who had picked the Pats to finish out the perfect season!

I am one of those people who does not have “a team”, every pre-season I check out the teams and decide who will be my team for that season. I debated long and hard this year between the Chargers and the Pats ( I guess I tend to lean toward the AFC!) Finally with just hours before the opening kickoff I went with the Pats, mostly based on the acquisition of Moss. I even based my Fantasy team on the Brady Moss connection (at least that paid off!!).

Where was the offensive line for the Pats? Did they not make the plane? Brady was touched so much last night I think even his girlfriend was getting jealous up in that luxury box!Personally I would have traded this lose for one during the regular season. I would rather have had the super bowl win than the perfect season. But the Giants did come into this game wanting the win way more than the Pats, and they deserve their victory!

Until next year when I make my team decision again, football is over. It’s now time to start looking forward to March Madness! Anybody have any thoughts on who the team to beat will be? What about the cinderella upset team?

Well, it is official!
I have jumped on the blogging bandwagon and joined the crowd.
Now as long as the crowd does not decide to jump off the cliff I should be doing good.

I have no real plan for this blog other than talk about the things I know and wish I knew. There will be a little bit of everything from fun, family, food, fotography, fitness, and maybe some more f words I can think of them.
