Japanese Kite Festival

Sunday, March 30th, 2008 @ 2:33 pm | Photography

Saturday was the Japanese Kite Festival at the Japanese Gardens, and I was all looking forward to taking pictures at the event. Of course it rained and only a couple of brave souls were actually flying kites.  I did snap a couple of pics in the garden, but not really anything good. It was too cold to try and get get ones since my hands were frozen. This is a decent one of the tea house.

I love the reflection…cold and all, you captured a lovely scene. I completely relate to the challenge: I was out by the river today, shooting some informal scenes because I had a bit of time to kill. The temperature was just above freezing, and it took about 15 minutes before my hands were so cold I couldn’t hold the camera properly any more.

I can’t wait for it to warm up!

Thanks again for visiting me this past WW. I’m doing my darndest to spend some quality time with the folks who took the time to drop by my site. Hope you’ll do the same, as there’s always something new and cool going on on my site.

      E-speak soon!
