Although you might expect the Daschund to have a lot of health issues because of the elongated body, the truth is most are healthy. However, they can have problems with the spine, which can be aggravated by obesity. To prevent spinal problems, it is recommended this breed be kept from jumping off beds, walking up and down many stairs, and so on.

These dogs are an amazing breed. Despite there cute appearance they actually make good watchdogs.

My Dachshund is 3 years old now and I really love him. This is my favorite dog so far and I dont think it will ever change.

I had a dachshund growing up as a kid, I would love to have one again but the landlord would not be pleased.

I like dachshunds but I have a Labrador Retriever already. The little guys have a lot of energy an they are harder to keep up with.
