On the Road

Sunday, February 17th, 2008 @ 3:45 pm | Reading

I recently picked up a copy of “On the Road” by Jack Kerouac. I had read this once back when I was 16, and wanted to read it again now. When I was younger the book teased me with the whole world that was outside my home state, but I could not travel to since I was a teen trying to get through school.

After college I got the opportunity to move out west and see many of the towns and places mentioned in the book, so reading this again has a whole different meaning now. Instead of making me wonder what is out there, I know what is in these cool places. Though the affect is still the same, it makes me get itchy feet wanting to go and see them again.
